Foundation for the Cooperation of the Universities of Konstanz and Tel Aviv e.V. (FKT)

"Förderkreis für Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Universitäten Konstanz und Tel Aviv e.V."

FKT stands for "Förderkreis für Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Universitäten Konstanz und Tel Aviv" which translates to Foundation for the Cooperation of the Universities of Konstanz and Tel Aviv. It was founded in 1987 on initiative of Erhard Roy Wiehn and Kurt Lion and – since then – provided numerous stipends for exchange students and academics. Organized as a non-profit organisation (under German law), individuals, firms and other associations can support the FKT's work by membership and donations (tax deductible). Katharina Holzinger (rector of University of Konstanz) is the elected president of FKT. The seminar series signals the close connection of both universities – in difficult times. More information on membership is available here (in German language only).
